Ordinary Extraordinary

As I paint I listen to a lot of podcasts. At the moment I am working my way through the Desert Island Disks archives. On an episode this week (I can't remember who) the guest was talking about how ordinary moments in time make his life extraordinary and that expression really resonated with me. My paintings are essentailly ordinary shapes, colours and lines that build and weave themselves in to something extraordinary. And so there's the title for this painting.
